Can You Remove a 1-Star Google Review in the UAE?
Yes — but not by deleting it yourself. In the UAE, as everywhere, a Google review can only be removed by the reviewer or by Google. A business has two routes to get Google to act:
- Google’s policy route — for fake, competitor, abusive and other rule-breaking reviews. This is faster and removes the review everywhere.
- The UAE legal route — for reviews that are defamatory, invade privacy or spread false information under UAE cybercrime law. This is slower but can work when a review is within Google’s policy.
